VO: Heron Haven Invasive species workday

Saturday, October 30, 2021
8:00 am3:00 pm

Come volunteer October 30th with Heron Haven (11809 Old Maple Road, Omaha, NE 68164) for their first ever invasive species workday! We will work on removing invasive bush honeysuckle from one of Heron Haven’s photo blinds. Volunteers are asked to bring their own gloves, safety glasses, and water bottle to ensure their safety and comfort. We also recommend wearing closed toe shoes, pants, and a long sleeve shirt. Volunteers can also bring loppers, pruning shears, and hand saws to help remove Honeysuckle. A water refill station and some snacks will be provided. Participation in this volunteer activity does require signing Heron Haven’s safety waiver.
