Introduction to Environmental Education: Project WET & Learning Tree K-8 Educator Workshop

Friday February 18th 9 AM to Noon MST at Riverside Discovery Center (Zoo), Scottsbluff IN PERSON

Looking for new STEAM materials to enrich student learning? Attend this educator workshop hosted by Riverside Discovery Center and your Nebraska Forest Service! Connect your learners with the nature in your neighborhood using two award-winning environmental education curricula designed for youth grades k-8. Participants will receive a copy of PLT’s Explore Your Environment and Project WET’s Guide 2.0 curriculum, a certificate for 3 hours of in-service, and the background knowledge to implement these hands-on heads-on experiences in their teaching right away! Get ready to teach your students about the outdoors this spring in time for Arbor Day, Earth Day, the City Nature Challenge and more with these engaging curricula! Each activity was written by teachers and for teachers, and is correlated to State and National Standards.
