Come join Conservation Nebraska and Nebraska Extension for a discussion about Nebraska's water quality!
Nebraska is rich with surface water and groundwater. It is home to over 79,000 miles of rivers and one of the largest aquifers in the world. These water resources are important for maintaining Nebraska's economy and livelihood.
Katie Pekarek with Nebraska Extension will talk about how we monitor water quality, what our surface and groundwater quality currently look like, and actions being taken to improve water quality.
Katie's work focuses on watershed management, stormwater management, and lake rehabilitation.
