CE: Invasive Species Educator Workshop

Tuesday, April 12, 2022
6:00 pm8:00 pm

The idea of invasive species is an issue that everyone should be concerned about. And frankly, it is a topic that gets passed up a lot in the educational world.
Through this educator workshop Nebraska Game and Parks will provide educators with some introductory knowledge on invasive species from our Aquatic Invasive Species Program Manager as well as some lesson plans surrounding the idea of invasive species and their affect on the Nebraska ecosystem. These lesson plans will be science geared, but overall interdisciplinary in their nature.
Who should attend this workshop? Formal and non-formal educators that would find this information useful and help extend the science lessons already happening within the classroom/nature center/afterschool club, etc.
Participants will walk away with:
– an introductory knowledge of Nebraska invasive species
– specific lesson plans geared towards Nebraska state standards and invasive species
– other invasive species resources
This is a FREE workshop and limited to 20 participants. Please use this link to register: Register Here
