CE:Nebraska Bumble Bee Atlas - Field Training at Gjerloff Prairie

Join Xerces Society staff for a Field Day! During these two hour events, participants will gain hands-on experience with the Atlas protocol, including netting, chilling, and photographing bees, as well as data recording/entry.

Attendance Limit: 20 people

Please only sign up for the event if you are certain you are going to attend to make sure there is space for those that are able.

What To Bring:

We will be outside for the entire program. Please bring the supplies you'll need to be in the field for two hours: sunscreen, hat, water, sturdy walking shoes, etc. Additionally, while we will have some supplies on hand to loan you, if you have them please bring:

An insect net
Vials or jars to place captured bees
A camera or smartphone to practice taking photographs
A hand lens
A bumble bee ID guide
A pencil/pen and a clipboard
