Thursday, July 28, 2022
3:00 pm4:00 pm

Maybe you expect to be lost in the wilderness someday, or, maybe you want to try a new cooking technique and throw in those wild edible plants you found on your hike. Either way identifying edible plants is an important skill for any outdoor enthusiast. There are actually quite a few delicious edible botanicals throughout Nebraska, but there are also some that are harmful. In this Science Of episode we will look at which edible plants we have in Nebraska, what they can be used for, and also help you identify some that might be look-alikes, or ones that are completely dangerous if ingested
