CE: Nature & Human Well-being: Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic - Lunch & Learn Webina

A growing body of evidence points to the many benefits associated with spending time in nature. This webinar will highlight well-being benefits associated with spending time in nature by exploring the role of outdoor activity participation and connection to nature in driving improved mental well-being for youth during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Presenter: Dr. Brent Jackson, Professor, Florida Gulf Coast University
Dr. Jackson is an Instructor in the Department of Integrated Studies at Florida Gulf Coast University. His research and teaching interests include environmental education, the human dimensions of natural resources, and conservation biology. Brent received his B.A. and M.S. degrees from Florida Gulf Coast University, and his Ph.D. from North Carolina State University.

This webinar is part of the Conservation Education Lunch & Learn Series. Education is an essential part of conservation. Understanding how people learn and what motivates conservation-based behavior changes are complex subjects that span across many scientific disciplines.
