CE: 3rd Tuesday Guided Bird Outings
We’re bringing back our popular guided bird outings this year with a few small changes. First, we are adding two months! We’ll start this year in March and end in November, providing 9 months of guided bird experiences. Second, we are calling them outings as we want them to be for everyone. We’ll focus on the area around the visitor center and our accessible trail loop, so bird lovers of all ages and abilities feel welcome to join us.
And finally, for those that might want to go further afield to look for prairie specialties like Bobolink, Henslow’s Sparrows, and Northern Bobwhite – don’t worry, we are planning to add 3 special weekend bird outings this summer (June, July, & Aug.) to more distant parts of the prairie, so watch for those!.
Our third Tuesday bird outings will run from 8-10am and remain free of charge, but please pre-register with us online so we know who is coming and – so we can email you any updated COVID or weather cancellation information. Binoculars will be available. Please watch our website for information on mask requirements. We look forward to birding with you again this year!
Bird Outing dates will be: June 21, July 19, Aug. 16, Sept. 20, Oct. 18, & Nov. 15.
