Join your Nebraska Forest Service for a professional learning opportunity centered on connecting little learners with the natural world, in particular during the snowy, winter season! Join us January 11th via zoom to learn new activities and strategies to keep environmental education going even during the coldest months of the year. Learn how to engage youth in cold-weather environmental education with activities that bring the outdoors indoors and get your students outdoors. During this virtual workshop, we will explore lessons from both Project Learning Tree and Project WET which best support snowy adventures. While this opportunity is designed for adults who teach youth grades prek-4, all are welcome to participate.
Participants will receive a copy of PLT/WET curriculum, a certificate for 2 hours of in-service credit, and the background knowledge to implement these hands-on heads-on experiences in their work with youth right away!
