DAY ONE
Interpreting in National Parks – Past, Present, and How to Get Involved as a Nebraska Master Naturalist
Tuesday March 25th, 2025 | 6:00pm - 8:00pm CST Register HERE
Presenter: Rob Briwa, Education Program Specialist, National Parks Service
Program Overview:
The Organic Act of 1916 created the National Park Service (NPS) to conserve park resources and “provide for the enjoyment of the same in such manner and by such means as will leave them unimpaired for further generations.” Interpretation – or the art and science of connecting visitors to parks through varied communication – is central to the NPS mission. Interpretation has a rich history, and understanding interpretation through a historical lens helps practitioners perfect their skills in the present. Join NPS Education Program Specialist Rob Briwa for a virtual program and discussion about interpretation – and learn ways to apply your master naturalist training in national parks!
