Salamander Search Citizen Science Workshop

Nebraska Game and Parks Commission along with University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) is hosting a workshop to train volunteers to find and record sightings of salamanders in Nebraska. The workshop will be on Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 5:00 PM- 9:00 PM at Indian Cave State Park (Shubert, NE). A potluck dinner will begin at 5:00 PM, with sub sandwiches, drinks, and tableware provided. Participants are encouraged bring a side dish or dessert to share. A presentation from Dennis Ferraro, UNL Herpetologist, will start at 5:30 PM. This presentation will detail how to find, identify, and record salamander sightings and contribute that information to the ongoing citizen science project Salamander Search- part of the Nebraska Amphibian Monitoring Project. At sunset, workshop participants will join Ferraro and Nebraska Game and Parks staff to survey for salamanders throughout the park (weather dependent).
This program is free and open to the public, but all vehicles entering the park must have a valid park permit.

What Information Do We Collect? When you visit our website you may provide us with two types of information: personal information you knowingly choose to disclose that is collected on an individual basis and website use information collected on an aggregate basis as you and others browse our website.

How Can You Access and Correct Your Information? You may request access to all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain in our database by emailing us using the contact form provided to you within the site structure of our website.
Do We Disclose Information to Outside Parties?
